A Day in the Woods

I spent the entirety of the day in the woods alone with a camera today and it quickly became clear that I haven’t the slightest clue what I’m doing. Most of today was just experimentation to try to start learning what different camera settings do, but the biggest thing I learned is that I have so much more to learn - especially when it comes to composition and lighting.

I think I’m starting to find a style that I really like though. I’ve been diagnosed with “Major” Depression more than once in my life, by different doctors and therapists, and I’ve also been told that I have a very active imagination. Today, I tried to lean into that to show what the world around me looks like through the eyes of someone always living in a dark fantasy. Enjoy!
